"I am a Cub Scout leader and we purchased three of these knives last year to present to our Bear Cubs who earned their Whittlin' Chip. The boys and their fathers were very pleased with our choice of blades.

I have to admit I was a little disappointed that the blades are made in China, but I've come to understand that Buck has moved manufacturing of their "low cost" blades to China in order to compete. As far as I can tell their high quality standards have not faltered, even on these $20 blades. They still come with Buck's lifetime warranty.

This year I have fourteen Scouts earning their Whittlin' Chip and I'm purchasing Buck Stockman knives for all of them."

"I've had 2 of these knives for about 4 years, got them from a friend back in 8th grade. Now I'm in college, and on the market for new knives and I ran across these. These are AMAZING. Smallish, but it doesn't matter to me, the blade was sharp (and still is) despite the fact that I've thrown them, carved with them, and just over all play a LOT with these knives. I'd recommend to ANYBODY looking for some new knives, and I plan on buying a couple more.

The ONLY negative about these knives is that over time the screw on the back of the knife tends to come loose, which also makes the blade rub a little. But a torx screwdriver( I think its a torx) will get it nice and tight in no time."
